"Let There Be Light"

In an emergency, you want to be able to see.

That often means you need a light of some sort.  There are several options for obtaining light in an emergency.  Some of them work better than others (depending on the situation).

Your normal options are

• flashlight
• lantern
• fire
• candle / lighter
• sunlight/moonlight
• car lights (headlight/dome light)

Some of those serve double-duty (the ones using fire provide both light and heat.)  A flashlight —wired right— can be a firestarter.  Certain ones are more work than they are worth (I'm thinking of shake flashlights here.)
